My Story

Why I Do This

My passion for financial planning has always been rooted in helping people make better decisions and create meaningful lives. After more than 25 years in the financial services industry, I've learned that the most successful financial plans don't begin with investments, they begin with understanding what matters most to the people sitting across the table. As a local fiduciary, I believe wealth should reflect a client's values. Every financial decision should support the life they want to build, whether that's preparing for retirement, growing a business, creating a legacy, or giving back to their community. I enjoy partnering with clients as a trusted advisor, helping them gain clarity, confidence, and long-term financial security.

Experience

My Background

I've spent more than 25 years in the financial services industry helping individuals, families, executives, and business owners pursue financial independence and long-term security. As Founder and President of Coe Financial Group, I've built the firm around a fiduciary philosophy that places clients' values first and emphasizes personalized wealth management rather than one-size-fits-all solutions. Throughout my career, I've specialized in creating customized wealth management strategies that combine investment management with each client's broader financial goals. My experience has also led me to become an active business coach, keynote speaker, and facilitator of Strategic Mastermind Groups, where I help professionals strengthen leadership skills, build meaningful relationships, and grow their businesses through collaboration. I earned my bachelor's degree in business with an emphasis in finance from the University of Illinois Chicago and hold the Certified Wealth Strategist® (CWS®) designation along with FINRA Series 6, 7, 24, 51, 63, and 65 registrations.

Community & Personal

Giving Back Beyond Finance

Helping people extends well beyond my work with clients. Philanthropy has always been an important part of my life, and I've been actively involved in numerous charitable organizations throughout the Chicago area. I'm the founder of Special Kids Network, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting children with special needs, and I've served on the boards of organizations including Keshet and the Gastro-Intestinal Research Foundation (GIRF). I've also been recognized nationally for my community service and charitable leadership.

Outside the office, I enjoy auctioneering at charitable events, playing tennis, golf, and racquetball, and spending time with my wife, Jill, and our sons.
